Hello and thank you for stopping by our official product thread here at Jemsite.com. It is within this thread that we would like to provide basic information on our low profile system for guitar controls. We are a limited resource operation and this is a unique opportunity for us to present our product information to the guitar community. Here are the goods:
The concept is simple. Lower the mounting height of a potentiometer so the potentiometer spindle is low enough to accept a control knob that's out of the way of the strumming (or picking) direction. Application design however is not that simple. Our design is extremely robust with excellent durability but requires an enlarged mounting hole to accept the required hardware. This makes installations a permanent modification unless of course the controls are mounted to a pickguard which would allow the original configuration to be restored by swapping out pickguards. Either way it is an extensive modification and care must be taken when locating the mounting insert to avoid interference with the side walls of the control cavity.
We currently have an initial run of prototypes we are selling direct through our website. These are fully functional and represent the final design of the product sans style attributes. Any future style releases will be fully compatible with these prototypes and can be upgraded by simply changing knobs.
Thanks again for stopping by and check out our website for further details.
