Overseas shipping options?

Hello, one and all!

What are the optional shipping methods from USA to Europe (Norway). What are the pros and cons to each shipping method?

I've read a little about this before on Jemsite, but I'd like to know more specific.

Is it correct that shipping overseas is limited to just a few choices? IE Express/overnight/other fast shipping? No "snailmail" available for guitars?

I'm confused. Help...

Re: Overseas shipping options?

Yeah, I could. But that's just USPS. Why should I choose them, or not?

Any other shipping "firms" that for some reason would be better?

(I remember LGMs rant ages ago, about something not being where it should. I think that's reason enough to air the question.)

Re: Overseas shipping options?

Pardon my french. I see no answer to any of those questions. Maybe I'm supposed to assume what you would answer as you posted one link. Can't say I found that very informative...

But thanks anyway! The link you posted was helpful!

Re: Overseas shipping options?

There UPS and Fed Ex both of them are good (at least my experience) and fast but they aren't cheap. I paid 300 CAD for a 2 day shipping from Canada to Germany with UPS (Air). 160 € for a shipping from the US (California) to Germany 3 days with Fed Ex. Hope this helps!

Regards

André

Considerring you asked for "snailmail" options, all were answered on that link, including size allowances, and the cheapest express shipping overseas from the US. But then, you'd know that if you had checked it out fully.

Re: Overseas shipping options?

Nice! See how easy that was! Now I actually found use of everything on that link. Now, that's great!

PS. If you had checked it out fully, you'd know that my native tongue is not even close to english. That's why I asked on this forum, because I needed clarification. Lazy americans...

PPS. Thanks!

Nothing needed clarifying, everything was right in front of you in black, white, and red. Lazy Norwegians.....

Re: Overseas shipping options?

Sit on your attitude. You didn't say you needed somebody to hold your hand.

If YOU ran the numbers on all the options then 6 months from now you would still REMEMBER. If you're TOLD you'll forget quickly. But you have the balls to call me lazy?! Right.....

Re: Overseas shipping options?

It was a quote from you, Rich, and you know it. You meant it as sarcasm, so did I.

I didn't understand the page enough to get the answers I needed, I asked. That's all, nothing to get high on. How you can know if I need clarification or not is beyond me. Still, it's no big deal.

I got my answer, and I'm a happy camper. Sorry to say though, my attitude is not something I would sit on.

Re: Overseas shipping options?

When I say it is a little different than when you do. Like when black people call themselves the N word, and a white person doing it. Completely different level of acceptance..... Damn foreigners!!

Thanks, I needed clarification on that one. I'm Eurotrash, and I'm proud of it!
