Passion_and_Warfare - Forum Member, My Experience

No items/money have exchanged hands between me and the aformentioned user, but I thought it appropriate to leave this note for other forum members to read.

On 4th April 07 Passion_and_Warfare replied to my post in a Wanted thread for a Jem (located here: http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60882) after verious PMs, he agreed to buy the guitar. On account that I hold it until he has the funds available.

Passion_and_Warfare and I aggreed to meet twice (I said I'd travel up to where he lives on the train as it wasn't far, instead of ship the guitar), on the first occasion I had to cancel, but he said he was glad as he wasn't feeling well, fair enough.

On the second occasion I PM'd him the day before we had planned to meet asking if we were still ok to meet, and he said he couldn't get out of work, I was ever so slightly miffed as it was such short notice and it was ME who had to confirm the arrangement, but still fair enough.

More time passed, I sent him more photos, and he aggreed to pay via cheque in the end.

18th May 07 he told me he'd posted out a cheque for the guitar, I am still waiting for this to arrive.

Apparently he'd posted out several things that week which suspiciously hadn't arrived, fair enough (again) I thought, these things happen.

So I sent him 3 PMs over the past couple of days trying to figure out exactly what was going on, in the end he told me today

Apparently, the cheque he did send he cancelled, so if it had have arrived and I tried to cash it, it wouldn't have gone through, he didn't tell me he had cancelled it, that would have been a nice suprise for me eh?

My sincere apologies.

So after all this time promising to buy my Jem7v he'd suddenly found a Jem10th to buy instead, after I'd held the guitar for almost 2 months he suddenly pulls out of the deal which he had promised on numerous occasions to fulfil:

By the way, I hope you don't think I've been messing you around with the 7v

nah not all mate, I said I would buy the guitar and I will, don't worry.
Now, when he actually had the money, I'm sure he meant to go through with the deal, and the cheque he sent on the 18th of this month may still arrive, time will tell. I'm just extremely annoyed that I held this guitar for so long, and in the end all his promises were empty.

What makes matters worse is I'd been specing up a custom Suhr with Matt from Matt's music, I was ready to put the deposit down the moment the cheque cleared and guitar was sent off, the build time on them is 5-6 months as I'm sure many of you know, I could have been 2 months closer to getting the Suhr of my dreams right now, as whilst I was holding the guitar for Passion_and_Warfare I've had several (3 in total) offers to buy the Jem.

I sincerely hope he plays his Jem10th to death and every time he picks it up he rememebers how he's ****ed me over.

So in closing, if Passion_and_Warfare ever makes a promise to buy your guitar, take his word with warning. Thanks.

Re: Passion_and_Warfare - Forum Member, My Experience

I was just awaiting some lad from Nottingham to pick up a Les Paul I was selling, anyways I thought he was just not going to bother because he hasn't contacted me for ages, thats Why I said I could not get the money for your JEM at this present time, But he turned up, and we're OK to go through with the deal now

I didn't mean I just didn't want to go through with the deal at all, that wasn't the case, it just meant it was just going to take a few more days that was all.

I said I would buy your guitar, and I am. I am a man of my word.

Aye it seems like there was a bit of confusion here guys lol.

I wasn't aware P&W was waiting for the cash for another guitar, thought he'd just decided to bag a nasty Jem10th instead of my lovely 7vWH (I could hear it sobbing through all of the bubble wrap).

I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end.

Lol....well maybe this is a ~sign~ from above that you are NOT supposed to get rid of your "LOVELY VWH" At any rate I'm closin this thing!

Seems people are very quick to jump and post threads of this sort lately

Andelusion, I understand your frustration, but please folks, wait until you've exshausted all other options before posting these type of "trust" threads. Seems to me this "misunderstanding" could have been settled via PM. And don't forget itrader rating

BTW - you don't REALLY blame him for jumping on the 10th do ya??? Alright, that was uncalled for
