How long has it been since you placed the order?

Well, it's been almost 2 years since i sent Sims my JS1000 body to be chromed (and $400 to boot). Patrick has just blown me off. So here i am holding a neck , pickups, and hardware to my JS with no body in sight. Anyone here even considering sending Sims their guitar or money should maybe think twice. I , and countless others, have been ripped of by Sims. Stories can be read at ***********.com.

Now that he is no longer a sponsor, it would be a good idea to unblock the http://sims warning.com/ address [remove space]

I don't think that site is updated anymore. Last story was the Bumblebee guitar from the guy who never came back here after complaining for years then extolling Sims' virtues after he got his axe.

Re: Patrick SIMS (custom shop in TN, USA) experiences

I promised to show some pics of the guitar he did for me when I had it done. I just got it back together and wired up this last weekend. I know what a lot of you guys are going through, I just hope it works out for the best. I wasn't too thrilled at first, but the thing sounds and plays so damn nice, I dont care. I took a chance and bought an Abalone inlayed knob and I think it looks pretty nice. The finish is nice, I just wished the graphics popped a little more. Here's a pic of the wall of fame too.

If they had been hand painted, as you originally requested, they probably would have.

You forgot to include a picture. Just upload one to photobucket and copy the IMG codes here.

Re: Patrick SIMS (custom shop in TN, USA) experiences

I'd love to see some customer pics of his work instead of the usual "shop light" pics we always see from Patrick. His pics hide more flaws than mountains hide Bin laden. He missed his true calling.........A photographer.
