Questionable neck on the 'bay

Hey all,

I figured I'd try here since you all as a whole know a great deal of Ibanez stuff. I found this neck on evilbay, and I'm interested in it for a project I'm doing.

item #160164331762

I can't seem to think of anything production wise that was like this. Reverse headstock, tree of life inlay on a maple board. It looks sketchy, but I need something with the old square heel joint. Does this look legit to anyone? Can anyone possibly identify what RG or JEM or whatever this came off of?

Re: Questionable neck on the 'bay

I'd hazard a guess that it is either a custom made neck or a neck taken from an RG that has had the headstock redone and the inlays put in. I don't think there has ever been a production model neck like that one.

How many frets are on that neck? It doesn't look like the board overhang is as long as the old style 24 fret necks.
