Rare Jem 777VSK on the bay!

Item number 330202677840 on the evil bay. It sure is a beauty. I haven't seen one of these pop up in ages. This guy is also selling a double digit LNG with pyramid Plaque case. I'd kill for an LNG. I really want one bad .

Anyways didn't know where to post it, but i am pretty sure this will arouse someone's attention and maybe get some GAS spreading around in here, and no the smelly kind..

Rare axes for sure but those descriptions aren't very accurate. The pickups on the VSK are very faded and the palm rest and screws on the LNG are very rusted. Scuff on the point of the headstock on both guitars. No biggie, but just say that instead of saying "near mint, perfect" when the pics so obviously show different. And no pics of the LNG fretboard. I still like them both, we'll see where they go.

One thing that torks me is how they never have good photos. I always think their hidding something. If your selling a rare or hight value guitar, have some fricken good photos =p

I agree, just simply borrowing a friends decent camera can bring you sooo much more money. Assuming, of course, they show a guitar in good condition. I emailed him and asked for pics of the complete backs of both guitars and the LNG fretboard and he said he doesn't have access to a camera but that both fretboards are "museum quality" mint.

I hate his auctions, speaks so much BS it's unreal. It also looks like there is a bit of fade to the body of that VSK.

Well, they are notoriously hard to photo, but if the pickup fading is any indication, then the body paint has definitely faded as well. It does look a bit milky.

The problem with those auctions or most guitar auctions is that a lot of people do not know how to choose the right words to describe what they're trying to convey.

Personally, I wouldn't use the word "mint" if I know my guitar has a scratch or a ding on it, as an example.

Near Mint is total rubbish! The body has faded dramatically and the trem looks like it has more rust than the Titanic!

I have seen countless auctions:

"Mint condition with the exception of a cracked headstock, upper horn broke off and tremolo is missing"

One was sold by Sims custom shop without the hardware on the Bay for around $1300. It had a new paint job also.
