Shipping guitars.

Been looking into prices for shipping and insurance this week and its a little confusing to say the least .
The Royal Mail post calculator is pants
The word seems to be that its impossible to insure a guitar to its full value at a reasonable rate to the buyer . Has anyone here in the UK any experience of shipping and prices etc.

I'm talking from the point as me selling btw .

I'm pretty sure that Parcelforce don't offer enhanced compensation for musical instruments so you would only be covered up to £150 with them I think. Thing is they will usually sell you the enhanced compensation but won't pay out on it in the event of something going wrong. Royal mail itself is almost certainly the same.

Thanks ! Looking at ebay I see most sellers use Arsoleforce 24 , a company that I hate using for many reasons . Time to call a few private couriers.
