Something Some Of You May Want To Look At

On a certain website, at number 2543473588, there's a nice PRS up for bid.

It should be a regular model, already. What are they waiting for?
I wish this one were cheaper

As far as i know, there's only one 7-string PRS in existance- i recall their site saying that, anyway. As a collectable, it's a steal at that price.

*cough, cough*

Did i just say that?

I'd say there's two

One's in their Private Stock, one was built for Wes Borland (this one).

I just like the idea of a 7-string PRS. Especially with the PRS trem bridge.

Too bad it's only 25" scale length.

My thoughts exactly. I played a Baker 7 string for several months with the 25 inch scale. It was a beautiful guitar, but the short scale meant that the low string was never really in tune below the 5th fret. I've tried just about everything, including scale lengths of 26 1/8, 26 3/16, and 27. I don't think I'd ever own another 7 string with a scale length below 26 inches. 26 3/16 is good and 27 is better.

It looks like this one is finally going to be sold. The seller listed is several times and tried all sorts of different strategies. Now he has it listed with no reserve and an opening bid of $4650. He's got his opening bid from what appears to be a serious PRS collector. My guess is that it will be the only bid and this baby will finally be gone. I can sure think of a lot of guitars I;d rather have for that kind of money.

... and it'll probably be locked away in a vault, put in a glass case, or otherwise never be played again.

But yeah, not great value for the money for a serious 7-string player. I'm sure it'll make that collector happy.
