These look good at first glance. The auction site must be full of them passing as real.
I've been looking at Gibsons on the bay. It's a little scary to think I could end up with one of these by accident.

They always seem to mess up the split diamond on the headstock of the "Les Puals" and some of the headstock shapes are laughable.

The knock offs also offer models not available by the real maker.
That one you sent me has a really bad headstock, fake serial number and is not a model offered by Gibson. It also had a rosewood fretboard instead of ebony.

True. Much like the Jems and UVs people build here that they pass off as a Jem or a UV that wasn't even made by Ibanez.

I just had a look and Im tempted by the zakk wylde bullseye gibson on silver, how can you tell that there 240 dollars, I couldnt get a trem for that kinda money over here. If I can get one of those for 125 quid then I will evilbay my epiphone zakk and have an even cheaper copy that looks better, for 125 its gotta be worth a gamble??

That said knowing my luck it will play and sound like a big bag of steaming shhite.

For sure, if they are going to copy the guitar they might as well copy the pickups. There are probably Dimarzio's themselves listed on the bay that are fakes too.
