UPS/Shipping question
Ok, so I have bought something from the US, that the seller shipped UPS into Canada. I haven't done my homework, and I did not read up about the customs brokerage fees, so I did not insist on another shipping method. But that's not the main problem. The seller seems to have valued the package for for nearly twice the amount it is worth (amount I paid for it) which not only increases the tax I need to pay, but also puts me up a two notches or so on the brokerage fee schedule.
My question: is there anything I can do about this, or do I have no other choice but to pay up? (Which would be around 42% of the value of the package)
