Re: UV777GR
Theres one on the bay is that what your talking about ? Its in melbourne and Id love to buy it also, and I can get pickup. but id say around $1500 to $1700 in good nick. You should check out the price guide on the main jemsite page. Tells you a ruff guide to what to pay for any jem in varying conditions....

Re: UV777GR
ur probably right but, i dont think the price guide will change that much, maybe few hundred dollars either way, but its ruff guide. in the end nobody can ever know how much something will sell on evilbay. It takes 2 idiots to want the same item at any cost and the price will go up....
just work out how much the guitar is worth to you and spend up to that much.

It's in terrible condition, and I've never seen one blotchy like that.

Re: UV777GR
oh man, that auction reminds me of what my GR looked like when I first saw it... except my GR still has that green luster while that GR's
bridge angle
is not to spec! that green on that GR looks like it's been through a fire and somehow came back in its current condition to tell its tale and somehow, the maple board survived the fire damage... who knows!!!
But to answer your question, a player's condition should be around $1000 - $1200 area... you'd be damn lucky if you got it for less nowadays. I traded an RG470 for my GR back in '01... so that auction is *waaaaay* overpriced for its condition

Re: UV777GR
That one on the bay now is in horrible condition, very beat up. But it's in Australia so it will fetch a higher price. I would say one in "pretty good" condition on the bay would go for $2500-$2750 if it was in the states.

Agreed.
The thing is, that:
- worldwide shipping + high demand = +3000$
If it'd gor for 2500$ inc. shipping, then maybe I'd give it a go, but on top of that there'll come these nice things called taxes, so it's only window shopping for me
.
Is there under that green paint a layer of black one, or why does it look so untidy?

Re: UV777GR
I thought the blotchyness was due to poor quality images, but on further inspection, i can see that it is in poor condition.
The thing is to even find a universe in Melbourne is like finding gold up your nose !!!!

Re: UV777GR
The black blotchyness on that one has to be some type of foreign substance - there is no black under the paint on a GR. The fingerboard is also unnaturally clean compaired to the rest of the body on that one. Something is out of the ordinary for sure. The green also looks a bit unnatural and olive for a GR, but that may just be the camera or the wierd blackstuff on it altering the normal color.
