UVMC color question

Did ATD ever use orange in his colors on the UVMC? Ive read the archived documentation here and I dont see it mentioned. There is a tempting one on a "large auction website that shall go unnamed" that has a lot of orange on it. Is it possible that he did a few with orange, or is it possible that a mixture of the neon pink and yellow would produce that color?

Re: UVMC color question

No. And be warned, that guitar is supposedly in Indonesia, and when asked to produce more pictures the seller disapeared.

Re: UVMC color question

Did anybody look at the close up pics of the fretboard? What the hell is all that white crap? I'm afraid it's a glue in fret job gone horribly wrong.

Pretty killer swirl on it though.

I saw this too, it looks as if the orange could be pink but just orange in those pics, I first thought, I didn't know it could be fake, the more I look at it, the more it looks like it could be real.

If it's the one I looked at, it looks pretty nice to me.

Re: UVMC color question

Could the pink have been exposed to massive UV fading from sitting in a store window or something and created that wierd orange?

Re: UVMC color question

Who knows, love the "slightly" dirty neck though [I've never seen one even close to that dirty!]

BTW it was offered to me for $3300, until he disapeared when I wanted more [specific] pics.

That's what I was thinking too, maybe the pink faded to an orange possibly.

When pink fades, it just turns to lighter pink

Re: UVMC color question

Weird how it is orange though. It's actually a really nice swirl too.

Re: UVMC color question

Its IS a seriously dirty neck. I have raw maple necks Ive played for over 20 years and they are not that dirty. Short of playing guitar with one's buttocks or similar I have no idea how you would consitantly get the neck that dirty.
