Herc - from what I gather never really recovered from his health issues and is why he's quitting again. He also had long delay times, healthy or not.

Nate - every now and then I'll see one and think it's looks killer, but the poor photography and his reputaion for poor bodies and lack of sealing [and the bact I really have no interest in anything but original Ibanez swirls] would keep me from buying one. But hey, no wait! [just the wait to get all the problems corrected, again, from what we all hear]
Just reiterating.......

Look this is getting crazy.

Stop and read Rich's comment And don't retaliate.

Stay calm
Step away from the keyboard.
Go pick up your favorite guitar
Reflect why you love playing and writing music.

Everyone go write a killer song and work this all out.

We all love swirls and the difference ends there who cares by whom. Its an amazing art to appreciate. You don't have to know its history just respect its art form and leave the rest alone.

And I'm going to go get the new Killers Album........

Can anyone please explain to me when it became necessary that if someone said something someone else had to point out that it was just the first persons opinion?

No name calling folks, simple as that. Disagree all you want, but be civil about it.

I bought a body from Nate and lets just say that there is a reason that they only cost $150.

Its all began when I agreed with Brosa on a quote Herc either said personally to him or saw somewhere. I agreed with Brosa then something changed.

Whatever.

Its a pointless debate of over opinions. Just let it go or close this thread.
Everyone is cool even you Ollie. Its all good and lets move on.

A good swirl is in the eye of the beholder. Lets leave it at that and encourge new swirling enthusiast to keep pushing new ground in the art of swirling.

Now let this thread fade..............

I am very objective and I have only acknowledged, Nate does great work "sometimes" but there are other times his work is subpar and I've told him about it, yet, I guess people keep buying because Nate keeps churning bodies out and I don't see any negatives on his eb@y account so I guess he must be doing something right even if you don't like the swirls he is doing right now.

In the end though by your statement you agree with me. ATD was the first and will always be the best, always imitated never duplicated. If you like herc's work the more power to you, I don't give a toss but as Ayrton pointed out he is not in the biz anymore so...
I'm trying to sell a guitar??? Umm, no? Is there one on 3bay or something? I haven't sold a guitar since I moved into my new house last December. I have 3 ATD swirls & 2 Hercs. I have no clue what you are talking about. Perhaps you have me confused.

And Nate keeps selling bodies because they are cheap. You pay for what you get man. And why exactly can't he get paint in the lions claw? Ask him that for me . At least Herc can do that .
