Where's Herc???

I've had a guitar and neck on order with Herc and Jess for like 4 years or so and now their email address doesn't work. Any idea how to get in touch with him???

Re: Where's Herc???

I received my first swirl from him (he had it for about 20 months) and I'm waiting on a strat body that he's only had about 7 or 8 months. Here's the last 2 mass emails he's sent out.

October 26th email from him:

Hello Guys,

Four customers have received their swirls/necks. I'm very grateful for your kind words about my work and my perserverance through these difficult several years. Thank you for not giving up on me!

My shop lease is up this Saturday (October 31) and I have begun getting my things packed up to move out. I will wrap all your beloved guitar bodies and necks and will be storing them safely at my brother's house in his large spare room. He is going to let me use part of his garage to complete inlays and light work (not spraying- that is done at an outside facility). I am trying to have all swirls done by Friday and will send pics by early next week. Those of you with no clearcoats required on your swirl will go out very soon after pics.

Unfortunately I've had a few very rough weeks with my asthma again and was not able to get the swirls done weeks ago like I hoped.

Those of you with custom necks and inlay work, please bear with me as they are taking longer to complete...lots of vine inlays!.

I have not mentioned some of your names in update emails but please rest assured that I have not forgotten you (Dave B, Vittorio, Dave A, Rob T, Keith, Craig, Rich, Gustavo, Bob R, Chris R)! I have been working in stages on all orders.

A big Thank You to ALL of you still patiently waiting for your swirls.... I cannot tell you how grateful I am for you not harassing me and letting me work in peace. I am doing all I can to create the absolute best pieces of art I have ever done for you all.

Thank you,

Herc

November 9th email from him:

Hello Gentlemen,

I’ve spoken with a few of you the past week… sorry for the delay with swirl pics. It’s been a chaotic moving experience and I needed time to set up my work at my new (temporary) “work shop”. I'm finally settled in and will be getting swirl pics to some of you this week, some next week.

I was way too stressed out to do swirls with all the madness of moving and setting up in a smaller space.

If anyone has any questions or changes about their swirl color schemes, now is the time to email me and let me know asap!

Thank you again for your patience—I feel your disappointment in the eternal wait for your guitars (and in me)- all I can say is that I'm truly sorry for everything and that I am committed to all my promises to everyone—you are all equally important.

Herc

PS- Manny and Dave A…I'm waiting for your neck to be shipped back to me from refretting so can finish the headstock finish.

Re: Where's Herc???

Whew.... Well that's good to hear. I'm the CHRIS R. he mentions so at least I'm being listed. I can't wait for my PMC swirl to get done. I ordered a neck too with disappearing inlays and I am sooooooooo anxious for it to be done or at least see pictures of it. Thanks for you all that responded. Herc has been in touch in the past so I trust that eventually I will see my guitar and neck but it's been a loooooooong time. BUT, from what I hear his swirls are THE BEST!!!

Thanks again to all...

Chris

Re: Where's Herc???

I don't post on here much anymore but just popped on and saw this thread so thought i'd give you some peace of mine. When I had my last full on custom done by herc it took quite a long time to do but it is worth every second of the wait. I currently have a body with him at he moment which I will post pictures of when I get it back. I'm in no hurry and you can't rush an artist. Don't panic. I'm the Dave B in his e-mails.
Anyway just to get your taste buds going here my last one (sorry any excuse to show it off)

Re: Where's Herc???

I too would tell you not to worry. It took Herc nearly 2 years to finish my swirl. He did keep me in the loop by email, but the one thing I learned is that when he tells you it will be 2 weeks it usually means 2 months. Just be patient
