Wow! Universe MKRs are selling for around the same as ATDs!

Well, I don't know why the other thread got closed, but I thought I'd start this one. My Universe MKR just sold for $2000!! I would say it is official. MKR's are worth around the same as ATDs. Rich sold one for over $2200; another sold a few weeks ago for around that; another sold recently for $2500 I heard; Rikk Beatty traded his for two Jems and a Reb Beach Model ($2000 value at least); and now mine sold for $2000! It just goes to support my statement: MKRs are cool.....

Oh, I sold mine to buy a Korg Triton LE and another 7 string guitar, not because I didn't like it anymore.

Jason

given the same condition, the atd UV77MC will probably fetch more $$$ 9 out of 10 times (if not more).

to debate otherwise is quite foolhardy ...glen

Only speaking of "good" swirls to begin with of course. Butt ugly ones are tough to sell no matter who swirled it

I don't know about that...my first ATD UVMC was fugly, but I still got waaay more out of it than I had invested. It's been a year or so, but I think I got about $2100 for it. It was so icky that Rich wouldn't even touch it (even though it was minty fresh!)

There's no accounting for taste. One person's "ugly" (or several persons ugly) is another man's "gorgeous". Some people who don't know any better jump at the chance to have a UVMC simply because they aren't aware of the difference.

When you take into consideration the money that you could have made from selling the JEMS & RBM outright, it probably wasn't a very wise deal financially. But...if it makes ya happy, that's all that matters in the end
