You gotta be kidding me??

Wow.. This is friggin pathetic

I sold a guitar to some idiot on here (wont mention name) and well, He added me on MSN and asked me EVERY friggin detail, take pictures of every small detail and asked me questions to waste at least 3 hours of my time over one week.. Anyways, I ship it like I said, last MONDAY.. Keep in mind this is Canada to USA, across boarder..

Anyways, This monday, he msgs me "Give me a picture of youre receipt to prove you sent it" and I was busy so I was like Arg later, im busy.. Anyways I was out last night, and when I log on today to look at my PMs, This idiot says hes filing a complaint against me at the post office because the guitar isnt there yet.. Are you joking me?

I even gave him the f'ing tracking number..

Makes me wonder why I even do deals with such idiots..

Well, with all due respect, you kind of brought it on yourself. You see, the man paid you money. This is how it works, you don't ship it until you receive the cash, right?? Well, just like you don't ship it until you receive cash, he wants to know you did in fact ship it after he sent you cash. I think it's only fair. And the whole "I was too busy" or "I was out last night" BS doesn't cut it when you have someone's money. If you are man enough to take the man's money, be man enough to prove you sent it.

Re: You gotta be kidding me??

But I provided a tracking number. is that not enough?

Would you like someone to messege you every second your online for 2 weeks bugging "its not here yet, where is it, can you call the post office? give me a picture of the receipt, when do you think it'll be there" for days..

And when im not online one night (not EVERYONE can log on every day) he bitchs at me the next day "Where were you"

Sorry Nick, I didn't catch that part in my semi-drunken stupor

Yep. that should be enough. Any beef he has now should be with the post office, not you.

Sorry Nick, but you're well out of order. How dare you go out when this guy hasn't got his guitar yet?

Uhh...he has the tracking number. What a douche bag.

Another reason why I wouldn't do business with someone in the classifieds that has a low post count. Even then, that kinda of stuff can still happen.

Hey, some people, tut!

Seriously though, a week is no time to wait and if you've sent him a tracking number then that should suffice. I had a similar experience over Xmas when I sold my Les Paul Custom. The guy paid good money for fast shipping and one month later the guitar still hadn't arrived. Turned out the post office had "misplaced" the guitar and when I started to kick up a fuss it arrived at this guy's house pretty sharpish! Luckily for me the buyer was eventually pretty cool about the whole thing, although he was mailing me twice per day until it arrived!

Re: You gotta be kidding me??

Way to go spamming every board you're subcribed to dude.

http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28088

The buyer himself and all moderators from sevenstring.org have agreed you are questioning your credibility...

"Ok, let's keeps the facts straight here shall we?

The agreement was initially made around April 16th, we had agreed on the total price of $380 USD including shipping.

However the seller (YOU) stated that you would not be able to ship the RG because you did not have enough funds of your own to cover the charges to ship the Guitar, or at least that is the excuse you had at the time, and i have logs from MSN to prove that statement, so now the idea was that he would wait until the funds arrived on his Bank Account so that he would then ship the package.

Faced with that situation I then suggested that i would go ahead and transfer $55 USD and once the transfer followed through to his Bank Account i would then proceed to transfer the remaining amount we agreed upon. ($55 + $325 to be exact)

It had been a good 2-4 days since he had enough funds to ship the guitar on his own now, and after a few days of more and more delay he has finally stated that the guitar would be shipped no later than Monday April 23th.

I said "Hey that is great news, i guess i shall now wait, thanks" , well 2 days ago i have politely asked him to provide a tracking or some type of proof for future reference something that i have stated to him that should have been done to begin with, he stated that there was no such thing on his receipt, however i do know that for a fact because tracking is included on the method that he has used to supposedly ship the package ( I have checked and verified that at Cananda Post), and of course he could neither provide a tracking or a copy (photo) of his receipt, which would lead anyone to be a little suspicious. I am also going to add one more thing, when i did happen to catch him online his answer was "not now, busy maybe later tonight".

Well, that was 2 days ago, the dispute was mainly to catch his attention and get the truth out of him, he had been ignoring my requests for 2 days straight.

Amusing how as soon as i filed the claim he then finally showed up and provided a tracking that by the way does NOT match the day that he stated the guitar was shipped.

So take his rant for what is, but BE AWARE of Nick as he also had a few issues with the previous owner of the RG7421 guitar he has now sold to me.

-JB"

Sorry, the guy said he gave you the tracking number.

I retract all previous statements and no longer wish to paricipate in this thread.
