2-Channel Triple Rectifier worth?

Hey guys, I have an older 2-channel Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier head in great condition, except for a tear on the vinyl on one of the corners. I'm thinking about possibly selling it, but I'm not really sure what the older 2-chan versions are worth. From experience with playing a newer 3-channel Recto, the older version def sounds A LOT better .

Does anybody have a clue about how much my amp is worth?

What year is it from? if they're from the same period as the < 500 Dual Recs, maybe it's worth a few hundred more?

Yes, the older 2 channel Dual Rectifiers sound MUCH better.

Your amp is worth ~$800. Put it on the Bay and it'll sell for around that much if not more.

$800, is that all? I was thinking they would be going for more than the 3-channel since alot of people prefer the sound of the 2-channel. I've seen the newer versions going for ~$1300.

Oh well, I'll probably just hang on to it

Hmmm.. can't agree there - I have a '92 tri rex and my buddy just picked up a single rect 3 channel - I would kill for his sound... Mine's just big with no character - his? Like a really jacked up plexi...Unless he really lucked out?

I've compared mine to triple recs and I could never get a really good distortion. Just buzzy, unfocused mess. Mine is really nice and tight and not buzzy at all. Maybe it's the JJ tubes?
