A Decent Multi-FX Pedal for $100 or Under

Hey guys.
Without going too much into detail, my father was a gigging guitar player for a long time and then eventually put the guitar down for many years. After I turned him onto Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment, he picked up the guitar again, but had sold the majority of his guitar with the exception of 2 guitars.
My father has made his best efforts to go the affordable route in terms of amps and effects. He bought a Digitech RP6, which I'll say flat out, is a piece of crap IMO. I toyed with it and hate it...even the regular effects. TERRIBLE...again, IMO.
He also built himself a tube amp, and picked up various pedals to try and obtain the sound he desires, but to no avail.

I secretly bought my father a Mesa Boogie DC-3 for Christmas, but am now stuck on what to do for effects. I ran the Digitech through the FX loop, and tried to dial in effect settings that I liked, but I just couldn't get it.
So I'm hoping there is a decent Multi-FX Pedal for a decent price ($100 or less)that my father can get to work with his new DC-3. Naturally, I don't need distortion or any amp modeling, just typical effects. Mainly Delay and Chorus are important. I'd like to be able to build presets and assign them to 2 or 3 buttons (clean, rhythm, lead)to avoid pedal dancing. An expression pedal isn't necessary, but it's ok if it has one that I can use as a volume pedal.
So I'm hoping you guys can give me some suggestions. I'd certainly appreciate it

Thanks guys!

It'll be hard to find something decent for under $100, if you really don't want to spend over they try some used gear, if you want to get new gear then you might have to spend a bit more, but anyway try the Zoom G1 or G1X multi fx i know here in oz you can pick one up for about $130 AUD probably be chaper in the US, anyway good luck.

I have a zoom G2 and for a zoom it's very good.
Effects are good.
Distortion is not fizzy or something.
Very cool for 60 bucks.

Never heard of an RP6 lol. In my opinion the effects on the G2 seem to be all very similar. Try a DigiTech RP50 or the RP80 (same thing but with expression pedal attached).

For that price range, Korg AX5G or Zoom G2 are quite decent.

i had a boss gt6,you can get these fairly cheap now.a few mates of mine bought gt8 but prefered the gt6.i sold mine bit to complicated but if your good at tweaking effects the gt6 is a decent bit of kit, have a look on 3bay might pick one up at a nice price.also zoom 80/80 even cheaper than gt6 (prefer gt6) i remember my 80/80 a mate of mine tweaked it,i was well happy with the overall sound but this got broken when i moved house.obviously theres a lot better on the market now but at the price you want to pay these 2 effects units are very good.

If you're also looking for good delays and choruses, look for an old Digitech RP1. although the distortions are just too fake sounding, the delays, verbs and choruses are nice and lush.

Boss also makes the ME-50, which is a nice multi-effect box. I honestly don't know how much they go for but it'd be worth looking into.

Lastly, you can also look for a Boss GT-6.
