Re: A.R.T. ECC (effects command Center)

Here's the info on the power supply from ART's website. It took a while to find it. I need one too and figured I'd just post what I found in case anyone else is searching. You can also contact them to get a copy of the manual for the ECC. It's not listed on their site but they sent me a scanned copy.

All ART products (excluding ARTcessories) need 9 volts AC, at a supply rate of at least 800 milliamps. Tube MP Studio V3 and the DI/O require at least 1000 milliamps (or simply 1 amp). The rate (Milliamp spec) can be higher, e.g. a 9-volt AC output at 1300 will work just fine.
The best place to order a replacement is from you ART dealer. You can also find 9 volt AC supplies at an Electronic Supply store. Don't let them sell you a supply with DC output, only 9 volts AC will work.

All ART products (excluding ARTcessories) use a 9 volt AC supply. The key word is AC. DC will not work. If you use DC, no harm will come to your ART gear, but then again, no sound will come out either! Polarity? With AC, there are no polarity issues.

ART effect processors use a 3-volt lithium battery, a BR2325 which usually last 5 to 7 years. The battery is similar to the type on a computer motherboard (that holds the clock, bios settings, etc.) and is a round disc similar in size of a US quarter. (note - it's internal. you'll have to open the ECC up and replace it. Just take out the four screws. you may have to pry it open. don't worry - no parts are attached to the bottom.

Re: A.R.T. ECC (effects command Center)

I also have the ART ECC. I bought a 9VAC 1.0A adapter for some old something, maybe a phone. Anyway, it doesn't light up the ECC, but a 9VDC high amp adapter lights up the board and I can switch the pedals lights around, but I get no sound. In your reply you had said that if you don't use AC you'll get no sound. Do you mean that you get no sound but do get lights?
