A rackmount Dual Recto, Hopefully on it's way soon!!

Well I won an auction last night for a rackmount Dual Recto.

I am going to pay about 200$ more than I wanted to, but this is how supply and demand works I guess.

Anyhow, I just wanted to know if anyone has ever tried one of these? I hear the gain is much better in the rackmount compared to the standard head. Also I wanted to know if this thing can be modified to have MIDI capabilities? I'll call Mesa tomorrow and find out for myself but I'd like to hear anyones experience on the matter of using one of these.

I've played a recto so I know what to expect and I know it's not the most versatile amp in the world, but that's what my other amps in the lineup will be fore

If you want midi capability, do this, fine a Rockman Octopus, a great tool for midi channel switching, or depending on what rack units you have or are getting, they may have dry contact switch outs that are midi controllable. Rocktron does this I know for sure, I think there are a few lexicon units do this as well...

Well That's some good info Bamm, but I think instead of trying to find a piece of equipment from the late 80's early 90's I think I'll go with axess electronics, Mario is only 45 minutes away from me and he can setup some nice behind the rack interface!
