Abusing Ibanez RG560 with Zero Resistance Tremolo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSuqOYE-Mic
I've been asked many times how well the ZR tremolo I installed in my RG560 works, so I made this video to show how well it plays, sounds, works and takes abuse with slight/if any, re-tuning needed.
And yes, the ZR is way better than the Lo Pro/Original Edge tremolo (I've had/have them too)
Pickups are
Bareknuckle Nailbomb bridge.
Neck pickup from SG.
Signal chain was
Guitar - Presonus Firestudio Mobile - EZ Mix 2 - Garageband.

ZR better than Lo-Pro and Original Edge? You'd better not release your name here. Everyone on Jemsite might look you up and attack you!
.
Great video dude!

Great video dude!
Haha, thanks!
I've owned many Ibanez guitars with the Edge tremolos (JEMs, RGs, 7s) and the ZR is by far the best one, for me, out of all of them ;0

I agree. I played a 2011 S7420 the other day and abused the FU*K out of it. Old strings and all. Stayed greatly in tune.
Sh*t. S7420 GAS. . . ..

Wel, it's true, it's given me far less problems than any of the Edge tremolos I've had, I barely used the Lo Pro 7 on my K-7 because, it's not a ZR, still, not giving up the K-7.

I have a Jem and a RG both of which have the OE trem and I also like the Edge Zero trem in my RG2550z better...I wish I could put the EZ in my 1990 RG550 cuz Ilike that guitar better but I like the EZ bridge in the new RG better...no guitar is perfect...and we all have different ideas / taste in terms of what is better...

Agreed, it would be nice though, if Ibanez used more ball-bearing based tremolos.

Did this mod in 2010, Lo-Pro is long gone.

Re: Abusing Ibanez RG560 with Zero Resistance Tremolo.
I've decided to sell this guitar, before I did that video, the last time I used it was in August, it's in great condition, but I barely (rarely) play 6 stringers.
