Re: Advice on Buildiing a Small Rig off ADA MP-1

I run my 3TM trough the very affordable Mesa 50/50 and they work very well together. Another thing in my rig is a BBE maximiser, something that really does helps the MP-1 speak up, even although it's a 3TM modded.

Re: Advice on Buildiing a Small Rig off ADA MP-1

Great advice on here guys ---- I have ultimately decided on a VHT 2:50 & now would like to get some ideas on 2x12 with tight low end (or maybe a 4x12, not sure)

I dont know if I want to go in stereo right away or just use one side of the 2:50 power amp (other on standby) and go mono?

ANy cab/speaker suggestions for this Voodoo Deleuxe nodded ADA MP-1, VHT 2:50 and.........

Thanks again, you guys are very helpful

Brian

Alos, can you use the VHT 2:50:2 in mono on just one of the channels safely? Do you always need load on both channels?

Seriously considering two or just one to start, Mesa Recto 2x12 --- what thinks ye?

I run my 2/50/2 in mono. You don't need both channels. the cool thing is I biased a little hot on Ch. A with KT-77's and left Ch. B stock.

As far as cabs. I started with a Marshall 1960A 4x12, meh Moved to an Avatar 2x12 with Hellatone 60's and now have 2 Bogner 1x12's that absolutely blow the other two out of the water. Insane low end and crisp clean highs. Not cheap but well worth it.

Do the Bogners have Celest - 30's or 80's? What suits the VHT2:50 better ?

Re: Advice on Buildiing a Small Rig off ADA MP-1

Bump - trying to find out (cant get a straight answer from a few diff vendors) what the ohm rating on the Bogner 1x12's is? I have been told 16ohm and 8ohm by others --- are they 16 unless special ordered maybe?

Finstah is running this setup in mono so Im wondering what the impedance switch setting is for: running both cubes in mono on one channel AND what settings on each channel if I ran them in stereo? Running with a VHT 2:50:2

Anyone? Thanks !
