Advice setting my gear

Iīve bought recently a JCM900 4100 head with ELīs 34 and its 1960 cab. I plug it as shown:

guitar > bad horsie > Boss Turbo Distorsion 2 > JCM900 > 1960 Cab

Iīm waiting now for a TC electronicīs G Major itīs arriving soon that I want to plug to the amp effects loop controlled via a G minor, and recently I have been offered an ADA preamp MP-1 and a BBE sonic maximizer (donīt know which model) for a reasonable price. I have thought the next configuration, but I donīt know if it is gonna work or if it is dangerous for any piece of my gear:

guitar > bad horsie > Boss Turbo Dist 2 > ADA mp 1 > JCM900 preamp > G Major > JCM900 power amp > 1960 Cab.

Basically I want to know:

1- Is the ADA preamp going to be dangerous for the JCM900?
2- Is there any way to change the ADA channel (clean/dist) via foot controller?
3- Is the BBE Sonic Maximizer needed in this chain?
4- Where I have to place the BBE if needed: ADA > BBE > JCM900 > Cab or ADA > JCM900 > BBE > Cab?

Sorry for the long question. I have never used rack gear.

2 preamps run in series is usually very noisy. I would run:

ADA-> G Major -> JCM900 power amp -> Cab. You don't need the 900's pre with the MP1.

Re: Advice setting my gear

Like Toshiro said,never run pre-amp > pre-amp! Obvious really.

Guitar > Bad horsie > Turbo dist > ADA > G major > BBE > Return jack of loop(this bypasses the JCM900 pre amp and uses only the JCM's power amp section) > Cabinet.

BBE should be last in effect chain if you intend to use it,but NEVER between Head and Cab!!
You probably wont need your turbo dist imo, keep the signal to the ADA clean and direct, though if you have a noise suppressor pedal that should be the first thing in your line after the guitar before the ADA. It stops all the crap entering your effect chain, kinda like security at your local club, keep the riff raff out!!

Hope this helps,i run a setup almost the same. Here's an old shot of my rig(new pics soon).

Re: Advice setting my gear

Alex Skolnick used to play a MP1 thru the clean channel of the JCM 900

Alex words, from Alexskolnick.com

"How did you get your tone on the Testament album Souls of Black?

"It was my usual rig at that time which consisted of an ADA MP1 Preamp and Marshall JCM 900. I think any Marshall head will do, the only thing is it has to be set clean, as all your overdrive comes from the MP1. Usually preamps are put through power-amps, not Marshall heads, so doing it this way creates a lot of overdrive and it's a very noisy rig. But the sound was worth it. You shouldn't have too much overdrive on the MP1 either; a little bit goes a long way. Also, a pretty even balance between bass, mid and treble, not too much presence."
