Thumbs up

Amp help...

I am thinking about a new amp...I already have a few really nice ones so it's not like i am buying for the first time.. i am looking for 100 w vavle 2-3 channel head.. with a really good clean,a really big high gain metal, heavy metal sort of tone ( like a dual recto) and then a great vai lead sound or somthing like PAW lead tone...i would really like to know if there are any amp's that fit this ....or maybe you can point me in the direction of something good.Don't worry about budget just give me idea's....

Thanks All

Shep

The only way to get Vai's PAW tone is if you have Vai's Marshall that was modded by Lee Jackson. Peavey and Mesas should do well when it comes to distortion.

Re: Amp help...

the Framus amps are cool. I know Killswitch Engage and Greg Howe both use those amps. I'd say try those (if you can even find one to play) or try a Peavey JSX. Great clean with insane headroom, crunch channel is very britishy/marshally, and ultra channel is metal channel all the way. 120watts with 3 channels... seems to fit the bill to my understanding.
