Amp Modification help wanted
I own a late model ENGL Sovereign 100watt full tube 2*12 combo with reverbunit. fyi this is the pre-midi version.
Because the damn thing weighs a ton its kind of a hassle transporting it back and forth to where ever I need it. However the sound and power I get is great and exactly what I want so Im not gonna buy something else.
I was thinking of turning it into a head/cab combination. So remove the amp itself and building in into a custom made head case. Same would go for the 2 Celestions. Now sellability and value deprivation aside this strikes me as a good idea.
anyone have any experience in this sort of re-building. What should I look out for in a case. Are there schematics somewhere on the net I can use. What do I do with the reverb unit? etc
