Amp Question

I would like to here thoughts of the Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 combo. I'm going all over the internet looking at amps and guitars *I find something I like I check out it's reviews but up til now everything I have found had imo some kind of flaw in it. Then I came across this amp this morning and I checked the harmony central reveiws. About 43 people rated it and out of all those only 3 thought the sound was average and the rest loved it. So I thought it might be worth checking out. So like I said before I would like to hear someone elses thoughts on this amp.

Amp Question

It's a great amp. I have the 100w head (JCM2000 DSL) and it's great. My only complain would be the combo size, since it's just 1x12", but if you need more cabs it's easy to add them... get one fast!!! you will not be dissapointed.

Amp Question

Thanks for the help Redeye. I have 3 more questions before I go check one out. First, how often do tubes burn out? Would it be worth adding a cab? Finally, does this model come with a footswitch?

Amp Question

k, here it goes:
1) Under normal use, power tubes last about 1-2 years and pre amp tubes about 3-4 years
2) It'd definetely be nice if you can add at least a 1x12" because it will help you have some "weight" when you play with a band. I currently rund my head with a 2x12" because 4x12" are WAY hard to manipulate and travel with. With the 2x12" I have everything I need... so, if you can, add a cab.
3) I'm not sure about the footswitch, but I suppose it has one. My head brought one and some other lower valvestate models have their own footswitches... for me it's logical that the box contains one.
