Amps. Who uses what? - What rig are do you run?

I have a Yamaha Pacifica running through a DSL401 at the moment. I use a Crybaby as my only effect, or if I get quirky, my Zoom 3030.

Not the most impressive rig by any means, but it does the job for me. Until I find a band that doesn't want to play Blur and Stereophonics (ARGH!!!!!!!! :angryfire, that's all I'll be using.

Oh, and on a side note, what's the biggest gig you've ever played?

Mine's 150 people.

I play 4 guitars (Ibanez JEM 555WH, custom made S-series copy, Gibson SG and a Washburn EA20 eletric/acoustic) plugged into a Fender Roc Pro700. My pedalboard has a Dunlop GCB-95 Crybaby, a Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer, Fender Footswitch for reverb and distortion, BOSS GE-7 EQ, Danelectro Dan-Echo and a Morley PVO Volume. I also play a custom made classical guitar (nylon-stringed) in some songs. This setup is perfect for my tone and the only thing I'll replace is the amp. I'll get a Fender Cyber-Twin.

My biggest gig?? Well... I think it was a concert when I was studying classical piano. In that ocasion, I've played for about 400 people.

Amps. Who uses what?

I plug my RG into a 5150 half stack. I also mounted a Tube Works Real Tube II preamp into it.
I sometimes use a chorus or delay in the loop.

Amps. Who uses what?

I've posted a good number of things about my rig on here before... but my rack is basically x-wire -> Egnater IE4 -> TC GForce -> TC DTwo -> Rocktron Velocity Valve power amp. *Peavey 412 rewired so it works a little better for me... Ernie Ball Volume pedal, George Dennis Wah, MXR Flanger. *That be it.

Largest gig was probably around 1,000 people. *I'm working on it.

Carlos, I don't know how you pull off those piano gigs... way too pressure packed for me! *I can't handle it when everyone is just sitting there silenty watching. *ullinghairout:

Oh yeah, smallest gig: *about 8 people. *And it was an actual planned concert. *

Piano recitals are terrible. I had to do one, and duffed up... I don't like polite silences, either.

? -> BadHorsie -> DS-1 -> Sabine rack tuner -> Rivera S-120(pre) ->TC-G-Force ->Rivera S-120(power) -> 2x Rivera 2x10.

Largest crowd was probably for the Gong Road Show. I played alto sax in a 9 piece jazz group. Bass? call it 200. Guitar? Somewhere from 6-10 (not hundred!).

some Ibys
Cry Baby
Peavey Bandit 75 (pre)
TubeScreamer TS-5
amp switch (clean/dirt)
Volume pedal
Peavey Bandit 75 (power)

Too simple? I like it so!
I used to play bunch of rackmounted stuff and a 8/10 stomps board... naah men, get rid of it all!!
It doesn't work!
Listen at SRV and you'll know what I mean!

Amps. Who uses what?

I play right into my Fender Cyber Twin. I just recently got it so I'm learning about it, and getting accustomed to its' features.

I used to run a POS Crate with a Danelectro Fab-tone, Boss digital delay, Boss chorus, and Dunlop Crybaby.

I'm now trying to simplify my life.

Largest gig, 125 people. Latley none as I'm doing recording all on my own.

Wow, I feel like a wimp in comparison.

My rig

'97 Squire Affinity Strat (before they started making 'em small)/Oscar Schmidt Acoustic
*|
*|
*V
Korg Toneworks AX-1G
*|
*|
*V
JVC Kaboom! RV-DP100 stereo. *

You can see pics of all of these in the file upload section:

My biggest gig was probably a school band concert (I play clarinet lol). *But I've got an upcoming concert with a school jazz ensemble in which I play guitar that will probably have quite a big turnout (friends and family of the various school bands). *For the jazz ensemble, I use a small (I think 20-watt) Peavey amp that's pretty nice for it's size. *Other than those, I'm still in search of a band to play with.

Amps. Who uses what?

I've posted this before, but mostly Ibanez RG550's or a fender strat, gibson melody maker, or 7620VK into the rig diagram in the link, with the addition of a DCR ISR crybaby rack ahead of the triaxis.

Oh yeah, largest gig 3000+ and TV coverage.
