Any view on an orange tiny terror?

I used to have a mesa F50, which i absolutely loved, but unfortunately i couldnt really crank it up that much, so i sold it and now have a marshall avt250 which doenst really cut the mustard for me.

Any thoughts on the orange ? I thought valve might be a bit better sound, and the small 15w might be quite enough to play a reasonably low volumes...

Everyone I know who has spent time with one wants to make love to it.

It's that good.

THAT GOOD.

Re: Any view on an orange tiny terror?

... I've tried out an Orange Thunderverb 200 through an Orange 4x12 a while back and I have an Orange Micro crush. Although they're on opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of purpose and sound, the Orange "voicing" is there: very lush cleans. Do not expect Mesa tone (or hi-gain grind) out of 'em cause that's not what Orange's do but they do well for Sabbath to Kyuss-like distortion
I think Orange amps focus on end-user simplicity... you'd be surprised how much tones you can get with turning just a few knobs with these amps.
But if you can get a TT with a 1x12 cab for a good deal, definitely go for it... you're in the UK, should be easier for ya to try 'em out!

I make love to mine all the time...truth be told I sold my Mesa 2x12 Roadster in favour of the lighter, less complicated tonal bliss of the Tiny Terror.
Tone monster with a ton of gain on tap and loud enough to drown out your drummer...can't go wrong!

Re: Any view on an orange tiny terror?

the Tiny Terror is an amazing amp, I really dont think anybody could be dissapointed with it, for what it is. It's switchable from 15w to 7w too btw, so it sounds great without blowing the walls down.

I am getting one just as soon as I have enough extra money.
