Anyone know about Langner preamps?

As the title says, anyone know anything about these preamps?

I just picked up a Langner DCP-1 as part of a deal with a whole bunch of other kit and have been really surprised by how good it is. I'd never heard of them before and given how great this one sounds I'm surprised I hadn't.

I've only just started to play about with it but so far I've found some great clean tones, but what has surprised me is the dirty channel happily goes from bluesy "just breaking up" through to really over the top nasty metal.

Can anyone shed any light on the preamp? A web search revealed very little.

(Todd?) Langner is the guy that designed the ADA MP-1, his original Langner preamps are usually held in the same reverance as the Bogner Fish.

That was about all I found out too! I couldn't find out anything about the DCP-1.

I think the DCP-1 is "THE" Langner preamp. Check www.adadepot.com, those guys seem to be pretty up on Langner's stuff, since he did design their namesake...

I believe there's a write up for the Langner DCP-1 on harmoney central. But I seriously think that the DCP-1 is 'THE' Langner preamp. I wouldn't mind checking one out someday, but I'm happy with my Langner designed ADA MP-1.

I saw that write up. A DCP-1 came up on the bay recently too. The one from the bay, the H-C write up, and mine are all DCP-1s and all seem to have different features. Weird. Anyone know if they were almost like a custom-shop order where you could pick and choose features?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they were handbuilt, so differing features doesn't surprise me.
