Anyone using Marshall DSL/TSL combos? - Particularly the JCM

In my quest to find a decent 1x12" practice amp, I've recently discovered these Marshall DSL & TSL combos. Looks like they both have a pretty good feature set for the money, and it would be nice to have an amp with "the Marshall sound" since pretty much everything else I have is dominated by "the Mesa sound". I'm drawn slightly more to the 401, only because I don't need a very powerful amp and wouldn't mind saving a buck or two.

So anyway... Any comments on the tone? the flexibility? the reliability? Anything else worthy of note?

I had a TSL 602. *Before i bought it i demoed a 401, *and it's clean sound was weak. *When i tried the 602 it was a whole different deal - you need the power to maintain the clean sound at any decent volume.
