Axe-Fx ultra
Good morning all,
I have a used
axe-fx ultra
on its way. I am pretty excited about it. I plan on mostly using it for the fx, in the loop of my riveria...Anyone have any tips, or suggestions on settings, cool fxs...etc. Thanks! Tobe

Re: Axe-Fx ultra
How are you running it? I would recommend plugging into a computer and making patches through Axe Edit because the menu's on the AFX are horrible.
Also even if you're using a poweramp...keep the poweramp sim on.

Re: Axe-Fx ultra
I am hoping to run it through the FX loop on my Rivera KR 7 head. Just FX, no amp modeling for now...Is the interface PC only?

Re: Axe-Fx ultra
oink? You can program the beast way easier using a pc with midi, but that's is the only thing it has to do with pc's recording aside. You can do all you want without at pc.

I understand the interface, sorry if I was not clear. What I mean about the PC, is will the programming software only work with a PC, not a Mac, Linux, etc...thanks

Read/search the manual and Yeks guide on how to run the Axe for effects only. Even with all this information it took time to get my presets and effects sounding good. Here are some resources:

http://wiki.fractalaudio.com/index.p...avoid_clipping
http://wiki.fractalaudio.com/index.p...ls_and_How-Tos
Once you have the Axe set up I can answer any specific questions based.
