Best Chorus Pedal?
Hey all as some of you might know, I'm using a Boss GT5 for all my toneful needs. But right now I kinda feel that I need a dedicated
chorus pedal
to tweak to my heart's content.
After watching a video of
John Petrucci
's Clinic, I was floored by the brilliance of his clean 'chorused' tone. Very sweet. He said he used an Ibanez Analog Chorus pedal.
Anyone ever tried that?
Well it doesn't have to be an ibanez pedal, just let me know what you think sounds best. Thanks a lot!!
Chris.

Best Chorus Pedal?
Back when I was starting out, I used to have a floor-full-o-pedals. EH Big ****
Delux, EH Small Stone, JD Cry Baby and a host of others. The only pedal that was worth its salt was my Boss CE-1?. That pedal had the lushest chourus sound I have ever heard in a pedal.
I now use a Roland GP-16. It has the same chourus the pedal had and, it gives me the option of using the OD-1 or the DS-1 distortion. Roland jammed all of its
Boss pedals
into one single-spaced rack unit and made it so that you can put the effects any where in the effects chain. Full midi and has an effects loop. For around $250 used, I highly recomend this unit, or its little brother, The GP-8.

Best Chorus Pedal?
If your looking for a great chorus pedal T.C. Electronics makes a Chorus/flanger pedal that is just awesome. *It's a bit on the pricy side at about $300, but it really is killer. *Also, check out the "fulltone" stuff. *
www.fulltone.com
* Mike Fuller's stuff is great. *I've not heard a quieter pedal. *I especially love the Fulldrive-2 pedal. *It's great for a little boost.

The BOSS GT-5 has a great chorus sound especially with a
clean tone
you just have to spend a bit of time fiddling with the settings to get the perfect sound.

Best Chorus Pedal?
The newer Ibanez's have a really sweet clean sound when on chourus. I like my effects clean and not overbearing. So they add to my sound not make my sound. I choose the Tonelock over the Boss it just sounded better in my opinion...

EJ dicks around with a lot of stuff but only uses certain things on stage...and the TC Chorus pedal is one of those things. *They claim on the Fulltone site that he loves the Fulltone 69 pedal...however, he still uses a vintage fuzz face in his rig.

Check also Voodoolab's Analog Chorus. It's very fat and warm sounding chorus for around $140ish. I would say a very good price for such a pedal...

Thanks for all the GREAT info guys lot's of good suggestions! I've been drooling over the TC Electronics chorus but I had no idea it would be so damn expensive. Yeah I've also been wanting to check out the
Voodoo labs
one too.
Time to go chorus pedal shopping!

Best Chorus Pedal?
I've got this old Ibanez pedal I think it's a PC-10
Dual prime chorus or something. I like it anyway
Two settings straight chorus and chorus with flange.
The thing I like about pedals is that their simple. FX racks go into too much annoying detail like wave shape pre delay etc.
However my floor board layout is kinda big so I mostly use my rack mounted thingy. *
(Boss fc200, whammy reissue,
morley wah
, morley vol assorted distortion pedals one at a time though)
How about the LINE6 pedals? Anyone tried them?

Best Chorus Pedal?
I would go for the old Ibanez choruses. The ol' 505, in the same series as the Ts-808, is probably the least known of the absolutely amazing choruses. The Cs-9 is also great, and the Bc-9 Bi-Mode Chorus is basically two Cs-9s. But Ibanez had it down back in the day, so you just can't beat them. The Boss Ce-1 is great, so is the Ce-2, and the Voodoo Labs Chorus emulates the Ce-1 pretty well. But the Ce-1 has the best vibrato in my opinion. So it all comes down to if you want to spend the big bucks on a Boss, get a new Voodoo Labs one for less, or go Ibanez and get quality and a great price

Damn I heard the fulltone chorus pedal.
I'm pretty much set on that one, it looks so cool and further more it sounds frickin' awesome!!!
Thanks for the cool advice guys.
I have yet to find a site for the TC Electronics one. Does anyone have a link, I tried looking at the TC Site but to no avail.
Thanks again!
Chris.
