Hey, has anyone heard of Joe Barden pickups?

Also, what about the "blender pot" - that seems very cool - anyone use these? and, how do they rate?

Dimarzio Yngwe Malmsteen signature singles!! Can you spell neo-classical?
Fender lace sensors are all round good and compliment a strat nicely

yeah, but I've already got the yngwie set in my yngwie strat!! I guess my focus is to get the most versatile set & trick options as possible. I was wondering about a fernandes sustainer - I'm not sure if the guitar would have to be routed for that though.

so many choices...

OK - well, I put lindy fralin vintage hots in the neck & middle pos & the SD Lil '59 in the bridge.

The 5-way switch is setup standard: 1=bridge; 2=mid+bridge split; 3=mid; 4=mid+neck split; and, 5=neck; plus the 3 knobs are top = vol; middle knob = neck pup tone; and, bottom knob = middle pup tone.

This tone setup provides additional flexibility with the split positions by adjusting tone knobs - very cool!

All in all, the pups sound great - the hands-down favorite is the fralin neck pup - freakin' awesome!!!

Thanks again to all for your input - pary on, garth...

Isn't that the standard Strat wiring? (That's how my Squire's wired, except with the Super Distortion bridge)

I'm glad the Fralins worked out I've been in love with the vintage hots forever but still don't own one.

I'm kinda new to the "strat" arena, I've typically played dbl humbuckers forever - it very well could be the traditional wiring method; I just dowloaded the manual for my yngwie strat, but couldn't locate a wiring diagram, but that guitar has the TBX circuitry & might be wired differently becuase of that...
