Better recording techniques?

Hey hey everyone.. I was just wondering if any of you more experienced home-recorders could listen to a demo that my band home-recorded and give some input/advice/etc etc... I'm not sure how to post mp3's, so if ya e-mail me I can send you copies! These songs were recorded around January, and we're recording a new CD this summer, I was hoping to get some more education before we embark on this adventure! Anyway, thanks for pokin in, any comments would help much...

Here's the home studio scenario

Carpeted semi sound-proofed garage
1.3 ghz 256 ram Sound Blaster Live
Tascam US-428 (connects to computer via USB}
Cubase VST
Decent mics for drums, guitars, vocals

Thanks again!
