Blown Soundcard - "Don't Let This Happen To You!!!"


I heard from someone that they tried plugging from their line out on their amp to their line in on their soundcard, and it blew the friggin' soundcard right out! *TOO MUCH SIGNAL!!! lol

the line out or the speaker out? * the line out should have no problem -- the speaker out on the other hand. . . . . youd have to be a moron.

yeah I agree that the speaker out would probably fry the card but the line out is fine. same with the headphone out on some amps. but that is funny.

Blown Soundcard


Hi, I'm bammbamm, and I'm a moron...
only I blew up a rack unit that way, not my sound card.
I was setting my stuff up for a gig and it was dark and I had no extra lighting so i attempted to wire up my system by memory...bad idea...

I wired the speaker out to my MXR delay rack out put thinking the speaker out was my return jack.

Fired it up and had really crappy output, so I went through and realized what I did... *SMACK* :doh: Toasted the output section on my delay.

I need to fix that thing one of these days, anyone have schemats on an MXR digatal time delay? *:lame:
