Bogner...... - Ecstasy, It's sound and it's worth.

Hi
I'm interested in an Ecstasy and I was wondering what type of sound It can pull off?

I'm in the market for a new amp, and I keep hearing about Bogner. I treid an Uberschall at a local store and they had an Ecstasy there So I will try it before the DT concert tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone had any sound clips? or if they have this head if they have any pics or if they can make sound clips?

Thanks in advance.

Bogner......

It's probably best to just go try one with your guitar rather than rely on what someone else does with it.

The Ecstacy and the Uberschall are both killer amps. *I've played through an Ecstacy and heard an Uberschall at NAMM. *I will agree with Jay's advice, try it on and see if it fits.

the bogner offer a very large kind of sound and have a lot of routing (switch) option, it's a killer amps but pricy..

he can be more agressive that a carvin legacy head,

but try before buy !

Bogner......

Ive never played a Bogner myself, but I hear nothing but great things about them. *A friend of mine is interested in the Uberschall head, and id like to hear it as well. *

Problem is, where were at in Michigan, no one carries them!! *So unfortunately sometimes you cant try before you buy. *It almost seems like you just have to special order one and hope for the best :sarcasm:

Bogner......

Well I went back to Songbird Music in TO, and tried the Ecstasy.

Even though it's pretty versatile, for $4520 it still didn't do what I wanted
LOL

I refuse to give in to the modeling amp craze too, so the persuit still continues.

Now If I could just get a 4 channel head that had all seperate EQ's for each channel, midi switching, a seperate EQ, the Uberschall high gain channel in the 4rth channel some more options I'd be set.

Morbid,

See if you can find a Rivera dealer in your neck of the woods that has either a Bonehead or a new 3 channel knucklehead. *They will be less costly than the Bogner and offer you more of the features you are looking for. *The eq sections on Rivera heads are just incredibly responsive, and the gain should be what you are looking for. *If you really cannot find one anywhere, look them up at www.rivera.com and give them a call. *THey have been known to ship amps to a dealer nearby so you can try them out.

They are the bomb, but very bright and trebly....I believe Hand On Heart on Vai's Fire Garden was recorded with a Bogner.....at least it sounds like it, and if it isn't, that's a very Bogner Ecstasy-sounding tone

If you listen to the jam tunes at the end of the G3 live CD, the one with Eric Johnson, Vai is playing a bogner going straight in...no pedals or anything...at least that is what he is doing on the video. *It sounded pretty darn good to me, but he also had a bogner cab which is high dollar stuff too.

I believe the Mesa Boogie Road King has what you're looking for! *The head costs $2500, but the options are limitless!
