I read somewhere that Satch has his DS1 setup at 9-5-2.

Which settings refer to which knob?

I've seen Joe's DS-1 set-up like this:
Tone - 9 o'clock
Volume - 1 o'clock
Gain - Max

Ok... how about his chorus and delay pedals... are they used in all of his songs?

Depends on which CD your listening to.
Live, Joe has two Chandler delays in the rack that are always on in some form or another.
He uses the chorus pedal for some songs here and there. I know it's on for Crystal Planet
