Boss GT-10

Does anyone have one of these? I have been thinking of getting a good multi-fx processor and was pretty impressed with some of the clips of this. I am also wondering how it is when recording direct. I am also open to other suggestions for a really good multi-fx that I can also do some good direct recording with.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Boss GT-10

I own GT-8. Had GT-6 before that. I've tried GT-10 but wasn't too impressed with it. Gotta try later again.

I'd say go and get a GT-8. They go cheap now. You get good sounds and there's a looot of knobs to turn. Unlike on GT-10. 10's got less amp sims, but it has looper and parallel FX chain.

GT-8 works really well recorded direct in. Take a listen to these:

Re: Boss GT-10

I just got the GT-10 this week but I haven't had the time to really test it out yet. But my first impressions is that is a very great sounding unit. It has a nice bite and punch and good dynamics for a digital modeller. Plus, I love the looper feature. I hear the GT-10 has a new "improved" DSP chip, but I never really played that GT-8 that much to know how much better it sounds. You should go out and try both of them out and let ur ears decide.

I'm still reading through the manual...and the options are pretty overwhelming.

Carlo, please post a bit of a review when you've had a chance to play with it properly

Carlo,

Does the looper work real well? I have a digitech jamman and am wondering if this could replace it. I have tried to find a GT-10 to test but nowhere around here has them. I may end up just ordering it.

Re: Boss GT-10

The looper works well...probably my only complaint...is that you are bit buried when you are soloing over your backing (but it's probably just my lead settings that's the problem). I still need to play around with it more. Never tried the digitech jamman. But to have a looper feature integrated into the unit is already a big plus in my book :-)

Re: Boss GT-10

I tried it when the store across the street first got them in and I wasn't that impressed as they all sounded the same as the GT-8. First Multi-FX pedal with more features than I need though.
