Boss GT5

I own a boss GT5, yes they are INDESTRUCTABLE! I dropped mine down a flight of stairs once after a jam session, nothing happened..!

Well as for sound, I'll try to get some samples down for ya' and post it in the Ftp section, if that's ok of course.
But seriously you can't just judge this unit based upon the presets, you have to spend some time and tweak it. Trust me this unit is the best multi FX I've ever tried out.

I'll try to get the samples by wednesday!

Boss GT5

Hey Steve.

As promised I have uploaded a bunch of demos into the FTP section of Jemsite.

One demos the Clean tones of the Boss GT5 as well as some addition of Delay, Reverb and a little tiny bit of Chorus. This is also using a speaker simulator, simulating a Fender Clean Tone.

The Second one entitled "DistDemo" is using a preamp in the GT5 called Metal Drive, I use a little EQ on this as well, which is also found on the GT5. The effects here are Reverb, Delay and a hint of chorus.

These demos were recorded using a cheapo computer mic that came with my old compaq LOL, hence the noise and the non quality recording. They were sent in this order. Guitar->GT5->Fender Bronco 15 watt amp.
No effects were used in the amp, hell it doesn't even come with Reverb..LOL!

Hope they are ok....if there's anything else you need me to demo, tell me. And sorry about the crap ass playing

Chris.

Chris,

Thanks man, the distortion mp3 sounded great, reminded me of George Lynch's tone at the end of his REH instructional video!!

What preset was used for that??

That was based of the "Heavy Metal" preset in the GT5, I did some tweaking with it. Boosted some of the hi-mids and Lo-mids in the EQ, as well as some of the mids in the preamp. Try to find a preset that you find favourable, and then tweak on it to make it perfect. Use the preamp more than the Dist/Od.
