Boss GT6 Patches

Hi all,

i have been able to score a GT6 to trial for a week, and i have been reading some reviews on it, saying how it takes quite some time to dial in the tone you are after.....

well i don't have a hell of a lot of time, so i was wondering whether any of you guys have patch settings you can share or let me know of a site that has 'em!!

the particular tone i'm after is a warm distortion alla Vai (ultrazone era) and or Petrucci (SFAM/liquid tension era)

Thnax!!

i have a GT-6 and i totally disagree that it takes a long time to get a good tone out of it. It's got tons of knobs on it, and you can access most parameters right from the face panel.

Start with a patch that's really close to what you're looking for, and start tweaking. Hit "Save" and you're done. I really like a few of the Rectifier patches (i think i regularly use two called "Big R-Fire" and "Red R-Fire"... i think that's what they're called).

Make some EQ tweaks, or modify the amp model settings and you're flying.

thanks darren

i had more of a play around last night and was a lot happier with the sound i was getting............ For me i think its extremely important to turn the cabinet simulation off - it just muffles the preamps........ (i think i'll just use them for direct recording.)

i found good results also using the metal distortions..........
