Boss ME-30 - should I or shouldn't I? *found cheap

I am needing some help fast. *I have found a local guy selling a Boss ME-30 multieffects board for around $100 and I need to know from all who know is this any good in the following catagories. *

1 *distortions and overdrives
2 *chorus
3 *wha
4 *phaser
5 *eq

I need to know something quickly (it probably won't be for sale for long) if it sucks I will avoid even looking at it. *I would hate to load up my amp and guitar go over to this guys house set up plug in hear it suck load up and go home.

I will run this if it doesn't suck into my POD and then into my amp. *I currently have a Zoom 4040 that I use for effects only. *This would replace the zoom hopefully with the added bonus of decent overdrives and distortion which the zoom definetely lacks.

Thanks all

How badly did it suck? I only saw the thread after the reply saying you'd left to try it out, but am curious, as a few people i used to know used the me-6, and that was crap. And if i remember the me-30 was simply a bigger (still plastic) version of it. Not durable by any means...

Boss ME-30

As far as the effects they were o.k. however, the real reason I was looking at this was for a volume pedal and a distortion boost. *I already have a larger mutieffect board style pedal but, was looking for something smaller that would also include some different flavors of overdrive and distortion (I have an ancient tube screamer). *

Anyway, It was flimsy the expression pedal just flopped down with the least nudge. *The display was not back lit so you couldn't read it very well. *The distortions/overdrive were so buzzsaw digital it was almost laughable. *I carried my settup and all I wanted was a slight drive boost on an already overdriven amp. *I could get my normal sound without my tubescreamer then try to add the overdrive from this thing and it would go from nice and tubey to digital dripping snot.

I wasn't looking for anything fabulous just something useful it wasn't.
