BOSS ME-33 patch switching delay - 0.5 sec delay when switch

hey all, i'm a newbie here, so i don't know if someone already posted about this. i looked at the last 10 pages, didn't see one topic about it.
some people seem to have this problem and some don't. does anyone know about this?
i read a review somewhere and someone said it's a software problem. does that mean it can be fixed?
and how many of you think that 0.5 sec delay is a big turn-off, or is that acceptable for live performance?

Generally (and I really mean generally) lower-end effects units tend to have slower/lower end processors and software. That's where most of the switching lag and dropouts come from.

I had a DSP2120 for a while then purchased a G-Force and noticed an enormous differnce in switch time. By enormous I mean from noticeable, to aurally discernable.

Sorry to say, but it may just be the caliber of the unit.

thanks jeffrey. i'm thinking about getting either GT-6 or ME-33. ME-33 is $100 cheaper and easier to use, but i think the delay will annoy me too much.
