My pedal junkie friend loves it, I had the RC20, and the thing that ruins them all for me is there is only one output so you cant run the loop to a second amp and keep the pedal in your effects chain.

I have my eyes on one of these for myself. Looks like loads of fun. Especially if you do any open mike stuff.

Re: Boss RC-2 Loop Station

I like the idea of just getting the chance to play over stuff again as I dont get the chance to do band stuff these days, be handy for laying down a bunch of chords then playing lead over the top, and with the extra added bonus of drum pre sets too and over lapping a few tracks. Sounds so much fun!

I was just hoping it wasnt going to be quite that much money lol

And with 16mins loop time thats ample enough time to make full songs. Wonder if there's then a way to get that connected to a PC to record it to .wav then to convert to mp3 hmmm.

I'm debating between getting the new Line 6 model and the older Boss RC-20XL. Anyone have experience with the XL? I'm going to be using this for small club solo gigs mainly.

Re: Boss RC-2 Loop Station

If you record drums or bass into itm You must get your gain from a pedal before the loop station.

Re: Boss RC-2 Loop Station

I have the RC - 20 (the double pedal one)

It is enormous fun and a fantastic practice tool, you need never play unaccompanied again!

Never found it that useful in a Band setting, we always had two guitarists anyway so adding loops as well seemed to just muddy things up..

We did play a few shows where I recorded a load of audio samples into it which was quite fun. We have one slow song, which we always take the p*** and say sounds like angelo badalamenti crossed with buddy holly so we loaded the RC-20 with twin peaks quotes which worked quite well as a gimic..
