Building a head from a Pignose40, What speaker for IT??

I snagged me a Pignoze 40w all tube combo amp for fairly cheap.. has two 6L6's & three 12ax7's...gonna turn it into a head unit cause this 10" speaker just isnt going to cut it for all the OD i am going to throw at it..

I was either going to build a 1x12 cab or a 2x12 cab.. if i build a 1x12 cab i can spend more on the speaker. If i build a 2x12 cab well i wont be able to get really good speakers..not to mention i can build a second 1x12 cab later if i want it.. Make me a full stack..LOL

I play heavy metal, rock, blues and some country.. i like a low deep crunch and when i play metal i want to feel it..

What 1 speaker will feed my urge to crank it??
