Cabinets and the Mesa 50/50 - I think I'm a massive tool...

Ok I bought a Mesa 50/50 a Mesa Quad Preamp, a rocktron Piranha and a few other rack pieces about last year, and I've been salivating over them for that period of time, because I havn't had the money for a cabinet

I am not sure what to get though, I want to use the unit in stereo with my Rocktron or Mesa Preamps also with my Boss GX700 unit
I believe all units will operate in stereo

But I'm confused as to what Ohm rating cabinet I should get
In the instructions for the 50/50 it confuses the hell out of me *not very good with cabinets and ohm ratings since I've only ever used combos I know I know ignorance is not an option*

But what I want are 2 2x12 cabinets that are essentially a 4x12 cut in half
It's a porability issue plus I like the option of only using one 2x12 for smaller gigs

but I'm not sure what ohm to get the cabinets made


can anyone with a 50/50 or similar setup help out?
also how should I got about hooking all of this up

Based on what you said, I assume you plan on using two 2x12 cabinets, one for each side. If so then each cab will be run in mono. 2x12 cabs are usually 8 ohm when run in mono so you just plug each cab into the 8ohm outputs for each side of the Mesa 50/50.

If you getting these made, just ask the cab maker. They'll know what to do.

I've got a mesa 2:90 and use a mesa 2x12 rectifier series cabinet and it is a 8 ohm cab. *It' got two celestion vintage 30's in them which are really nice.

I've got a 50/50 and I play thru a Carvin Legacy 2x12 and a Mesa 1x12 (which happens to be bigger than the 2x12!!!!)

I use the Presence on the amp to keep the Legacy cab bright and the Mesa warmer. *Makes a good blend. *Sounds great.
