can G-Major/Force do THIS ?!?!

there is a feature in podxt which enables you to record a dry signal and then you can run it thru different patches and see which sounds better. This surely is a great feature....specially for people who like to record without effects. I am wondering if G-Major/Force can do the same for me ?

No, not in the same way as the POD.

You could use the effect units in the effects loop of what ever you are recording with and run a dry signal through it. But what the POD does is totally different.

but then what i'll be recording is a delay+reverb loaded signal, right ? I generally tend to avoid that in case i need to change some effect levels in the final mix.
i prefer recording a overdriven singal then use 3rd party effects in nuendo for mixing.

Not if you record with no effects at all, then mix in effects from the processor afterwards when you are mastering.

The thing the POD does is allows you to record a dry signal then process it with differend amp models, effects etc.

Is there any feature on a G-Major/Force which allows you to crank up the amp volume but output at a lower volume without sacrificing tone, like some attenuators can do?

I know the behringer Vamp pro does that.
