Carvin Legacy 2

Has anyone tried the Legacy 2 yet? If so, I know the Legacy 1 was very loud but is the Legacy 2 going to be suitable for using as a bedroom amp?

Re: Carvin Legacy 2

Maybe, they would have to have done something special with the master volume though, and the 25 watt mode would have to cut a lot more volume. I know I use an attenuator and an eq to lower my volume. Without either the amp is not bedroom suitable. I love the amp so I'm sure if you got either you'd like them too.

Many say they want more distortion or it wasn't what they expected but it was everything I expected and with a keeley compressor and a keeley ds-1 the thing sings even more and has all the distortion that I could need. Granted that I don't use super heavy distortion for tuned down chunk chunk sort of music.

Re: Carvin Legacy 2

imo there are huge misconceptions about the legacy.

1 it can be played at a low volume AND sound good.

2 it has a ridiculous amount of gain, more than enough, even with single coils.

It does sound good at low volumes but without anything cutting some volume it is pretty damn loud on 1.

Yes I have one & it can be used at low volume.

I bought mine in May as an experiment to compare it with my Legacy 1....but I find that I still prefer my Old Legacy.

May be willing to sell the Legacy II.....PM me if you are interested.
