Hi everybody, I'm new to the board.
I love my Legacy 1/2 stack. But, as we all seem to agree, that extreme-crunch Boogie sound is not to be had anywhere in the thing.
My band has a song we want to record that needs that Uber-crunch in the rhythm guitar, but we don't want to spend another nickel, especially not to rent an amp.
But I do have a POD.
But I don't want to use the cabinet simulator software.
What I propose to send the guitar into the POD with the Boogie-rectifier setting, and pipe its output into the return on the Legacy head's effects loop, with nothing going into the Send. That way I'll get the organic honesty of the mic'd cabinet sound, but with the crunch from the POD.
CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IF THIS IS SAFE TO DO????
I am not going to do a thing till I get some advice!!!
Thanks in advance,
Eric A.,
