Carvin MTS - Woh...opinions?

I have posted before, but im on a different computer and cant get my PW, so new account =P *

Anyhow, i just got back from a guitar amp testing marathon. *I was finally able to play a Mark IV because the guitar center near my house didnt have mesa's until now. *I loved it, but the price sucked. *Anyhow, i went to Carvin (the store is right near my house) with playing the legacy in mind. *I tried it, and it really wasnt my thing. *Then i noticed they had the Carvin Master Tube Seris ( MTS ) on sale, with a 4x12 cab with carvin speakers (which sounded GREAT) for under $900! *I thought it was a great deal and figured i'd give the amp a shot. *I LOVED it. *Im pretty sure its just a 100w all-tube high gain head. *I got a GREAT heavy sound from it, the clean was acceptible. *I think it would be great to have around for less technical playing, such as the band i just started that is most likely punk/rock whatever. *Anyhow, i wanted to ask if anyone else had played it and what they thought. *I think for the price, this is the amp for me. *This way i can have this as a whatever amp, then buy a triaxis/markiv, whatever, later when i want to get into more technical stuff. *Also, i didnt get the chance to try the MTS head with the legacy cab which has Cel v30's. *Do you think that would be worth trying? *I think getting a half stack for $900 that sounds as good as a duel recto is pretty damn amazing =P *Any opinions?

I say, try the other cab too, just to see how you like it, I mean, couldn't hurt, right? *And if you like the tone and the price, BUY IT!

I've played the MTS combo, and I absolutely loved it. It's definitely my next amp.

I had an MTS3200 head and I loved the clean sound. *Distorted tones were only "fair" IMO. *It was OK, but not my cup of tea. *I'll stick with my ADA MP-1. *For the price though its not a bad deal for the Carvin.
