Carvin V3 - few questions

So I think I'm finally ready to put my solid state Peavey Bandit to rest and pull the trigger on my first all tube half stack - the Carvin V3.

I will be using it for classic rock, pop and country in my cover band and stuff like Satch, Paul Gilbert, and Steve Vai stuff on my own. What I need to know is what speakers would be the best for what I want - Vintage 30s or g12t-75s? I know there's another thread about this, but they were asking from a primarily metal background whereas I want something more versatile. I've heard the Vintage 30s are smoother and warmer, which sounds like exactly what I'm looking for.

particularly on "V3 Sexy Time Part 2" and would LOVE a sound close to that (I'm aware there is some delay and prob some other stuff as well, but I just want to get in the ballpark.)

It's hard to tell what cab he is using though, what he has the V3 head and is using his Legacy cab? I mean look at his amt of gear listed, none of which is a V3 so I guess it must be a pretty new addition.

Edit: wait actually I've talked to this guy b4, he has his Splawn taken over the V3 and his favorite combo is his Crate
